Core Logic  
The Keynote 8660 uses the Pentium CPU with up to a 233Mhz Clock Speed and MMX technology. The mainboard features up to 512k* syncronous pipeline burst cache. There is 16MB EDO RAM built into the system which can be expanded to a total of 80 MB
The available 13.3" Active Matrix LCD is capable of displaying a crisp 1024x768 image in more than 65,000 colors. (800x600 for other LCD's) Driving the video is a Chips and Technology 64bit PCI graphics accelerator with 2MB of memory. There is also a built-in video-in port. This port will allow you to view full motion video from an external composite video source (like a camcorder), You can capture still frames from the video source to use in presentations and documents. Note all the notebook images on this page were created using a Keynote 8660 and a camcorder.
With the integrated Smart Bay you can use either a 20x CD ROM, floppy disk drive, or a second battery. The floppy drive can also be connected to the parallel port to support simultaneous operation of the floppy drive and CD ROM or second battery. The system's main storage is provided by a 2.5" or 3.0" EIDE high speed hard disk drive with capacities in excess of 3GB.
With 2 type II or 1 type III PCMCIA/CardBus/Zoom Video card sockets, your expansion options are virtually unlimited. You can add any industry standard PC Card modem, high speed 32bit cardbus network or SCSI card, or a Zoomed video card to enhance the systems video capabilities. The system also has a full complement of the standard ports. There is one 16550 serial port, one PS/2 port, one parallel port with SPP,EPP, and ECP capabilities, one Fast IR port to transfer files or print at 4MB/s, and audio in/out/mic ports.
