In-Warranty Service
Your Keydata computer came with a warranty which was either 1 year (most notebooks) or 3 years (all desktops and some notebooks).  Keydata provides parts and services for all these products.  If you are unsure of the warranty status of a unit in your possession, please complete the service request form below and our staff will inform you of the warranty status. Keydata's technical staff will respond to you with all the necessary instructions for the repair process.

Out of Warranty Service
If your warranty has expired, Keydata will still continue to provide parts and service. The following is the out of warranty service repair process.

1. You will be issued a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number by our technical department. Package the hardware in original packaging or equivalent packing if the original packaging is either in poor condition or not available. It is only necessary to send hardware which relates to your problem (example: if you have a problem with your power supply you do not need to send in any manuals or software) Ship the hardware to:

It is very important that the RMA number appear on the address label or shipping documents on the outside of the box. Make sure to Insure the package in case of loss or damage during shipping. Back up any data on the computer prior to shipping, we cannot be responsible
for any data on any hardware returned for service.

2. After receiving the hardware we will examine and diagnose the problem. We will then prepare a repair quote which states what was found wrong, the corrective action required,
and the costs to repair these items. You will then be contacted by phone, fax, or email with the repair quote. This process typically takes a few working days, however this may vary depending upon service department workload.

3. Once you receive the quote you have the choice to approve repairs in which case you will be charged the amount of the repair quote. If you do not wish to have the computer repaired
you will be charged $45.00 for diagnostic fees plus any return shipping charges.

4. Payment for repairs may be made by PO or by Credit Card.
