KEYNOTE5150

Looking for a computer chuck full of features like a 450Mhz CPU, up to 256MB of RAM, a DVD option, and a high contrast display, but you have to work with a limited budget?  Look no further!

Power Trip
The Keynote 5150 delivers the Pentium III class power of the AMD K6-III with 3D Now technology and system bus speeds of up to 100Mhz.  The K6-III uses the latest processor technologies and incorporates custom technologies like Tri-level cache support and 3D Now technology.  AMD has long been providing equal, and in some areas, better performance than comparable Intel offerings - At a fraction of the cost!  This translates into a portable solution which has no problem handling the heavy loads placed on the CPU by current multimedia, business, and game applications.

The New Way - HPA
Thanks to the shortcomings of older technologies, many people believe that active matrix is the only acceptable display option. For quite a while, this was true - Until Now.  High Performance Addressing (HPA) LCD technology gives us an LCD which has much higher contrast, wider viewing angles, and faster performance while still using passive matrix technology.  In an active matrix, each pixel on the LCD is made from 3 transistors.  This design requires 2.4 million transistors for a XGA resolution LCD. This level of integration is very costly to achieve and will produce occasional "dead pixels".  HPA, and other passive matrixes,   use transistors only at the ends of each row and column.  This technology is immune to "dead pixels" and greatly reduces the number of transistors, complexity, and most importantly the price.
